SAIC Completes Acquisition of Icon Systems, Inc.

GeoBearing MK 19 (GB MK 19)

The GBMK-19 SPU simulates the firing and effects of the actual MK-19 weapon system and is primarily used during Force-on-Force (FOF) and Force-on-Target (FOT) exercises at Combat Training Centers (CTCs) and home station(s) from squad through brigade level.

The device is used by Army units to evaluate individual unit performance in employment of the MK-19 during FOF/FOT training at home station through deployable locations. The GBMK-19 SPU provides area weapons effects, player status, and weapon firing events. It supports multiple ammo types with unique ballistic characteristics, accurate time of flight simulation based on range and ammo type selected and has an integrated detection system for casualty assessment.
